Cookie policy

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This website uses as few as possible: one to remember your choice, and Google Analytics cookies only if you say yes.
Categories
Necessary
Needed for the website to respect your choice. They are always on and are not used for tracking.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 tells us how many people visit the site, which pages they read and how they found it. It is off unless you accept it in the cookie notice. Until you do, the Google Analytics script is not loaded at all.
Cookies we use
| Name | Category | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|---|
vw_consent | Necessary | this website | Stores whether you accepted or rejected analytics, and the version of the notice you answered | 1 year |
_ga | Analytics | Google, on this website, only after consent | Tells visits by the same browser apart | 2 years |
_ga_<id> | Analytics | Google, on this website, only after consent | Keeps the state of the current visit for our measurement ID | 2 years |
If you reject analytics or withdraw your consent, we delete the _ga cookies from your browser.
Checkout
When you buy a recorder, you leave this website for the payment page of Stripe at checkout.stripe.com. Stripe sets its own cookies there, which are needed for the payment and for fraud prevention. They are set on Stripe's domain only, not on this website, and are covered by Stripe's cookie policy.
The app
The VHF Watch app does not use cookies and contains no analytics.
Changing your choice
Use Cookie settings at the bottom of every page to change or withdraw your consent at any time. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings; the cookie notice then appears again.
